Car Crash leaves Five Persons Injured on Portmore leg of Highway 2000
The incident, which involved a Toyota Hiace and a Toyota Corolla, caused a traffic pile up along the thoroughfare.
Superintendent Courtney Coubrie, Operations Officer at the Highway and Traffic Division, said the crash occurred when the Hiace ran into the back of the Corolla, pushing it into a railing.
The passengers in the Toyota Corolla were trapped had to be rescued by emergency responders from the Jamaica Fire Brigade.
The Hiace bus overturned.
Five persons – three from the Corolla and two from the Hiace bus – were taken to hospital for treatment.
