Gunmen Killed Two Men and Injured another During an Attack in St James

Two men were shot and killed and another shot and injured following attacks by gunmen in two separate incidents in St James on Friday.

The deceased, both of St James addresses, have been identified as 24-year-old Tavon Davis of Providence, Flankers and 30-year-old farmer Ranique Nash of Orange District.

Reports are that about 9:40 pm., Davis and another man were walking along Hart Street, Montego Bay when they were pounced upon by armed men who opened gunfire hitting them.

The police were summoned and Davis was found lying along the roadway with gunshot wounds to the neck and head. The other man managed to flee the scene where he was assisted to the hospital by citizens and admitted in serious condition.

This came less than 20 minutes after police responded to explosions heard in an area called Orange District and upon their arrival found Nash lying in the passenger side of his motorcar with gunshot wounds.

He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators are probing both incidents.
