A man is dead and two others in hospital following a two vehicle collision along the Sandy Bay main road in Clarendon on Sunday morning.
The deceased is 56 year old Devon Porter of Victoria Town, Manchester.
The mishap, which occurred about 7:30, involved a truck and a Toyota motor car.
It is reported that the motor car which was travelling toward Nineteen Mile from May Pen collided with the truck.
It is theorized that speeding was a factor in the crash.
It took more than an hour for firefighters to cut the driver of the motorcar from the mangled vehicle.
Two passengers of the car remain in hospital in critical but stable condition.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
Since January, 205 persons have died in 190 motor vehicle crashes.
