22-y-o Male That Died In Mt. Rosser Bus Crash Identified

The police have released the identity of a man who died this morning in a motor vehicle accident near Faiths Pen in St Ann.

Dead is 22 year old Dwayne Shady from Bog Walk in St Catherine.

Reports are that about 10:15 A.M, Mr Shady who was the driver of a coaster bus, lost control of the vehicle and it went off the road.

The bus overturned and burst into flames. Mr Shady died on the scene from burns he received .

The Coaster bus was alleged to have been chartered for a beach trip to resort town of Ocho Rios.

However, a source close to one of the passengers involved said that the driver had been warned by cops that morning for dangerous driving as he had been swerving and pressing his brakes too frequently.

“When the bus stopped at a fast food store at Angels to buy food, the cops came to the driver and told him to stop the swerving and jucking the brakes every minute and told him to drive carefully,” the source said.

Fast forward to Sunday afternoon, where several passengers are reportedly still in serious condition – having subsequently been transferred for treatment at the Linstead Hospital in St Catherine.

It is still not clear how many passengers were travelling in the bus.
